IASI Ski Exams and Training in Zermatt
Subzero Coaching is a IASI ski courses Licensed Course Provider (LCP). This allows us to organize multiple courses in Zermatt, Switzerland. With courses running nearly year round and for every level, you can start your ski career knowing we can support you all the way through the full certification! 
Autumn 2020, on the Zermatt-Matterhorn Glacier:
IASI Alpine Level 1, 26th – 31st October
IASI Alpine Level 2, 22nd – 27th November.
Winter 2020/21, on the Zermatt-Matterhorn Paradise ski area:
IASI Alpine Level 1, 14th – 19th December (provisional)
IASI Alpine Level 2, 2nd – 7th February (provisional)
The prices of these IASI ski courses are the standard IASI fee of 610 euros.
IASI Ski Training Weeks in Zermatt
Our coaching team lives in Zermatt, the ideal resort in the Alps. Ideal because of the guarateed snow on the glacier but also for the amount of courses that are run here year round.
It frequently happens that even though the trainees improve during the week, it is not enough to meet the exam’s criterias. More often than not, a few more days of practice could have made a big difference! In order to avoid these situations we provide training opportunites prior to each exams; in small groups and with an expert coach there to specifically help prepping each exam.
Our coaches, beside being expert skiers, have also a lenghty preparation in physical training. They will look after your fitness levels and make sure you peak at the exam week, not before nor after!
What’s included
Our IASI Ski Training weeks includes:
– Tech and Teach Training (with real teaching scenarios)
– Video Analysis on your personal ski technique
– Video Analysis and advices on your teaching methods
– Group Leaders training
– Fitness and nutrition advices (upon request, no pressure!)
Also available, at discounted rates:
– Dryland training programmes/tips prior to the course
– Sport massages, mobility/recovery sessions
– Dryland training during the ski week
– First Aid Course
Prices and Dates Training Weeks
The IASI pre-exam training runs every week prior to each exam, for 5 days, Monday to Friday. Every day is a full day, morning and afternoon!
The Winter training week also includes half days training with our the Level 3 training group, valid to accumulate shadowing hours (15 hours) needed for the Level 2 exam.
The standard weekly fee is 500 chf.
Through our contacts in town we also help finding accommodation at a reasonnable price. Please get in touch with us if you are looking, we are happy to help also for longer periods!
Is one week training not enough?
If you are looking to get your Level 2 and could do with a bit more than just a week away, we have created a new formula, the “Full Blast” course! 3 weeks of training prior to the Level 2 exam; A full-immersion course to get your best chances of success, spend some time on the mountain and get the chance to be introduced to our ski school network!
